Photograghy Exhibition Organized by The Glenbow

Exposed features photographs from two distinct areas of Adams' photographic practice. The first features portraits of his friends and colleagues in the entertainment, fashion and art industries, including Morrissey, Ben Kingsley, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Louise Bourgeois and Judi Dench to name a few.

The portraits in this series reveal unknown facets of his famous subjects and the depth of Adams' own photographic abilities.

The second group of images featured in Exposed is portraits of young British soldiers who have suffered life-changing injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan or during training. In these images, the lens bears witness to the soldiers' scars, disability and disfigurement with unexpected directness, while revealing the grit and bravery of these soldiers who, despite personal sacrifice, live each day with continued vim, vigour and dignity.

Adams has exhibited his work across Europe and North America and has had three books of his works published: Wounded: The Legacy of War, Exposed and American Women.
