Get your motor running and rev it up at the best art party in town. Grease and tease your hair and unleash your inner wild one - we're taking a cue from Worn to Be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket with our rockabilly-themed bash featuring live music by the 427's and Bobby Kork Orchestra and a rockin' DJ set by Djewel, plus art, activities and other red-hot party action.
Make sure to join us once we wrap-up at Glenbow and we all head over to The Palamino (109 7 Ave SW) for the official after-party, featuring live music by Fist City, The Nancees, The Pygmies and more!
7 - 10pm
Pay-what-you-can at the door, cash bar
Palamino After-Party: 10:00pm - close
Three times a year, Glenbow keeps the doors open after dark and turns the music up for the best art party in town. Launch Parties make the art on display come to life in new ways and give you a different museum experience than you would get during normal daytime hours. Launch parties are open to everyone and are pay-what-you-can admission.
Glenbow's Launch Parties began in 2009 and have since become one of Calgary's favourite see-and-be-seen events. The party is a great way to celebrate the opening of feature exhibitions, but it's also a curated event where we invite local musicians and performers from Calgary's creative community to entertain the crowd.
