Get your Saturday night started at our Spring/Summer Launch Party! Celebrate the opening of our latest exhibitions - M.C. Escher: The Mathemagician, Made in Calgary: The 1970s and The Big Four - at the best art party in town. Hot local band The Soft Option and our sizzling DJ, Myke Atkinson, will provide the soundtrack for a night of mingling and meetups - with visuals provided by artist Joe Kelly.
The Launch Party is your opportunity to check out Glenbow after hours, while cooling your spring fever at the cash bar.

Acclaimed Canadian artist Kent Monkman discusses his largest and most ambitious diorama installation to date. The Big Four is the result of Monkman's visit to the 100th year anniversary of the Calgary Stampede in 2012 and his interactions with Glenbow's collections. His newest work draws on archival documents, historical images, film footage, Blackfoot artifacts and historical artifacts documenting the history of the Calgary Stampede, the rodeo and the Indian Village.
