| Series 1 | Oral history projects. -- 1971-1985. -- 2.63 cm of textual records. -- 149 sound recordings (audio cassettes and audio reels). -- Charles Ursenbach undertook two major oral history projects in the 1970s and early 1980s, the first for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in which he interviewed Mormons from southern Alberta, and the second as part of the Western Oral History Program which was sponsored by the Alberta Department of Culture, Youth and Recreation. -- The series consists of recorded interviews with Mormons and other Albertans, transcripts of interviews, and some biographies and autobiographies donated by the families of those he contacted. -- The series has been artificially arranged in alphabetical order by the name of the person interviewed. -- Many of the sound recordings have no date. The dates given for the transcripts indicate the date the interview was done rather than the date the transcript was completed. |
