Series 1 Orders-in-Council. -- 1873-1955. -- 4 m of textual records. -- The series consists of Orders-in-Council passed by the Government of Canada which related to the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP) and its successors, the Royal North-West Mounted Police (RNWMP) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). There are three volumes of alphabetical indexes to the Orders-in-Council. -- The volumes have been microfilmed.

Series 2 Local detachments. -- 1874-1964. -- The series consists of a small quantity of diaries [daily journals], notebooks, account books, criminal cases, wanted persons lists, and other records created by several southern Alberta police detachments. Includes a travellers' register for the detachment based in Dawson City, Yukon Territory during the Klondike gold rush. -- The records have been artificially arranged in alphabetical order by the name of the detachment.
M-2137 Calgary detachment. -- Photocopied 1970 (originally created 1874-1963). -- Consists of 1874 and 1893 recruiting posters; oversize plans of the Royal North-West Mounted Police barracks
M-2660 Calgary detachment. -- 1914. -- 1 volume. -- Consists of an engineer's notebook related to buildings at Fort Calgary. Contains measurements of various buildings of the Calgary barracks.
PA-1171 / PB-330 / PC-95 Calgary detachment photographs. -- n.d. -- 11 photographs. -- Consists of views of Mountie personlities, Queen Elizabeth, a police wagon being converted into a boat, and a police boat.
Microfilm - RCMP Dawson City detachment. -- Microfilmed 1963 (originally created 1901-1903). -- Consists of a register of travellers along the Yukon River. The original is held by Fred Cook.

M-2147-vol.2 Fort Macleod detachment. -- 1876. -- Consists of photocopy of letterbook, with index at back (pages 225-234). -- Original held by the RCMP Museum in Regina.
M-2125 Fort Macleod detachment. -- [ca. 1907]. -- 1 volume. -- Consists of a booklet, kept by Constable John Cumming, describing wanted men, including Thomas Dobson, Walter Kessie, Frank Sutton, Frank J. Patrick, George Papachuputus, H. Parsly, Ed Cameron, John Edwards, F. Norman Law and others.
M-2469 Fort Macleod detachment. -- 1911-1919. -- 1 volume. -- Consists of contingent account book for D. Division, recording expenses for meals, messages, food, etc., with names of suppliers.
M-2146 Fort Macleod detachment. -- 1938. -- 1 volume. -- Consists of a diary [daily journal] for the Fort Macleod area.
M-2124 Lethbridge detachment. -- 1944-1946. -- 7 cm of textual records.-- Consists of records regarding the murder of prisoner-of-war Dr. Karl Lehmann in a Medicine Hat POW camp. He was murdered by Nazi sympathizers who suspected him of being a traitor to the German cause.
