The LSA records relate largely to the role of the society in setting standards for lawyers, regulating the law profession in Alberta, and disciplining its own members when complaints were made.

M-1510 John Edward Harriott. -- 1833-1834 (transcribed 1967). -- Consists of post journal entries by J.E. Harriott, describing trade at the Hudson's Bay Company's peigan Post, as transcribed by J.E.A. Macleod for his research. -- The original is hled by the HBC Archives in Winnipeg.
M-2482 Edward Martin Hopkins. -- 1847, 1854. -- Consists of parchment documents of appointment of E.M. Hopkins as chief factor by the Hudson's Bay Company (1847), and as a member of council and chief factor (1854). -- These were acquired by J.E.A. macleod during a trip to England in 1955.
