Series 9	Ladies' Auxiliary. -- 1966-1995. -- 1.5 m of textual records and other material. -- The Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists Auxiliary was formally founded in 1966. It was usually known as the Ladies' Auxiliary. In 1994 it changed its name to the Social Club. In 1995 it disbanded. It consisted mostly of wives of members of the SCEG. It performed auxiliary functions, such as handling registrations at conferences, and organized social activities for families of CSEG members. -- This series consists predominantly of photo albums documenting the activities of the Ladies' Auxiliary, but also includes some textual information, such as the Constitution and Bylaws, membership directories, and minutes (1980-1981). -- Textual information is arranged chronologically, followed by loose photographs arranged chronologically, followed by photo albums arranged chronologically. -- Some reports of the Ladies' Auxiliary can also be found in Series 3 and Series 6.
