Textual records. -- [ca. 1950s-2005]. -- 2 cm of textual records. -- The series consists of correspondence, certificates, newspaper clippings and other material relating to Melvin Crump's genealogy and his role as president of the Alberta Association for the Advancement of Coloured Peeople; his career with the Canadian Pacific Railway as a railway porter; his musical career as a jazz musician; curator's notes on audio and videorecordings; and notes on Melvin Crump interview done by Frances Roback and Ewa Smithwick.

Melvin Crump does vocals on these numbers: All of Me, Ain't Misbehavin, Bye Bye Blackbird, Basin Street Blues, I'm Confessing That I Love You, Down by the Riverside, Love Me Tender, My Desire, Sunny Side of the Street and Bloodshot Eyes. Bobby Van does vocals on Unchained Melody, New York, New York, La Vie En Rose, Stand By Me and How Great Thou Art. Master cassette and and copy cassette.
