Series 1 Incorporation, bylaws, minutes and management. - 1948-1986. - 37.5 cm of textual records. - The series consists of the incorporation of Berean College under the Religious Societies' Land Act; the College's bylaws, standing rules and policies; minutes of the Board of Management, which was headed by the College President and which governed the College; minutes of various committees under the Board; minutes of an Advisory Council of outsiders who met once a year; and several "self-evaluation" studies undertaken by College management. Includes the financial audit for the last full year that the College existed.

Series 7 Newsletters. - 1957-1986. - 18 cm of textual records. - Berean Bible College published a brief newsletter called The Berean Broadcaster as early as December 1956, to keep in touch with people who listened to its weekly radio broadcasts. It was pubished bi-monthly, and evolved into a more general newsletter to share news of the College's activities with former students, friends and supporters, and radio audiences. It often included brief "sermons" by College staff, itineraries of choir tours, and alumni news. The name of the newsletter changed to Berean Update in 1980, and to Foothills Update in 1984. - The series consists of College newsletters. There are some gaps in the holdings.

Series 8 Cyril Hutchinson. - 1935-1980. - 1.14 m of textual records. - 13 audio reels. - Cyril Hutchinson was the founder of Berean Bible College. He served as Principal of the College from 1948 to 1969, then as President of the College from 1969 until his death in 1980. He had trained under William Aberhart at the Calgary Prophetic Bible Institute, and had been the Principal of the CPBI Bible School from 1935 to 1948. Berean Bible College was an offshoot of the CPBI work. Cyril was already an accomplished evangelical radio broadcaster when Berean was formed, and he continued to broadcast until his death. He is best known for The Family Bible Hour (see Series 9). - The series consists of three sub-series: letters, pamphlets and miscellany; scripts and notes of his radio broadcasts, sermons and Bible classes; and sound recordings of miscellaneous lectures and broadcasts, including several pertaining to communism and the Cold War.

The cards are arranged in alphabetical order, and refer to the "Messages" described below. Subjects include purely Biblical topics such as "Abraham", "Antichrist", "Beatitudes", and "Deity of Christ", as well as more secular topics such as "Aberhart", "Communism", "Dictators" and "Russia".

Series 9 The Family Bible Hour. - 1966-1982. - 143 audio reels (1.06 m). - A radio series called The Family Goes to Church was started by the Berean Bible College in the fall of 1948. It was a Sunday afternoon program featuring a children's story, music, and a short Bible study. It was presented by Berean faculty members with Cyril Hutchinson as preacher, Mary Macomber as story teller, and Chrissie Goode as musician. In 1958 the name of the program was changed to The Family Bible Hour and it continued to be broadcast until July 25, 1982. Cyril Hutchinson was the host of the program until his death in 1980. A wide variety of radio stations transmitted the broadcasts to Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and the state of Washington. The programs were originally broadcast live from radio stations, but by the 1960s they were being recorded in advance at a studio in the College. - The series consists of sound recordings of The Family Bible Hour from 1966 to 1982. Most of the tapes contain six consecutive programs. There are two gaps in the series, from November 7, 1971 to January 3, 1972, and from May 21-June 23, 1978.
M-7481-186 The Family Bible Hour. - November 13, 1966-April 7, 1968. - 14 audio reels. - Consists of recordings of the program as well as the theme which opened the show. Each program began with a trumpet fanfare followed by these words: "This is your Family Bible Hour, the voice of Berean Bible College in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A trumpet with no uncertain sound, presenting an open Bible for the world".

Series 10 Photographs. - [ca. 1950s]-1985. - 881 photographs. - The series consists of both negatives (562) and photographic prints (319) of Berean Bible College buildings, staff, students, graduating classes and musical groups. The negatives are primarily student portraits taken for the purposes of the College's yearbooks.

M-7481-110 A Burning Bush in the West yearbook. - 1978. - 174 photographs. - Consists of the original photographs and articles for the 30th anniversary part of the yearbook, arranged in the format in which it was to be published. See Series 6 above (M-7481-109) for the published version of this yearbook.
Series 11 Calgary Prophetic Bible Institute. - 1927-1974. - 37.5 cm of textual records. - The Calgary Prophetic Bible Institute, founded by William Aberhart, was a direct predecessor of the Berean Bible College. Ernest C. Manning was the first graduate of the CPBI, and remained with the Institute for many years. Cyril Hutchinson took over as Principal of CPBI in 1935, when Aberhart left to become Premier of Alberta, and served in this capacity until 1948 when he left to establish Berean Bible College. Louis Johnson was Principal of CPBI in the 1950s. - The series consists of calendars of courses offered at CPBI; Bible study materials; notes and writings of William Aberhart and Ernest C. Manning; and correspondence of Louis Johnson and Ernest Manning about a wide variety of Bible topics. Also consists of an incomplete set of The Prophetic Voice, the monthly magazine of the CPBI.

M-7481-196 Syllabus of the Calgary Prophetic Bible Institute. - [ca. 1945-1947]. - Consists of what is likely the final calendar of the CPBI Bible School, just before Berean Bible College was established.
